foreign policy,culture has injected new vitality into diplomacy,strengthened the link between culture and diplomacy,and cultural diplomacy has become a necessary tool for realizing foreign countries’ strategic goals.With the weakening of the role of hard power such as the military and politics in international politics,the role of cultural soft power in the international community has been increasing.Therefore,politicians and scholars in various countries regard cultural diplomacy as an important choice for realizing their political interests and strategic goals.India has long attached importance to the development of cultural diplomacy,implemented cultural diplomacy around the world,improved India’s national image,expanded international discourse power,and disseminated Indian culture.With China becoming the second largest economy in the world,the Indian government pays more attention to developing cultural diplomacy with China and regards it as an important target country for cultural diplomacy.India’s implementation of a cultural diplomacy with China will exert a subtle influence on Sino-Indian relations.India can strengthen cultural cooperation and exchanges between the two countries through cultural diplomacy,promote economic and trade exchanges between the two sides,and realize complementarities in economic strength.To a certain extent,India can promote the harmonious development of Sino-Indian relations.However,India’s cultural diplomacy still has some restrictive factors.Stable development has caused adverse effects.Therefore,we should objectively and dialectically treat India’s cultural diplomacy with China.The study of India’s cultural diplomacy toward China in the new century will,on the one hand,help strengthen our analysis and understanding of relevant theories of cultural diplomacy,safeguard cultural security,enrich the content of our country’s cultural diplomacy,and promote the development of our country’s cultural diplomacy;on the other
