Dai Benxiao Artistic Research Of Landscape Painting

In The beginning,the style of Dai Benxiao’s landscape painting was study from the painter in Ming Dynasty,but after that,the Song and Yuan Dynasty’s advantages were also learned by him.He studied the ancients but not only one style,when he was middle-aged,he start to pay attention on sketch from nature and participate in various academic exchanges.In one hand,he combined the tradition and nature together,in another hand,he actively absorbed the advanced ideas of contemporary artists.In his later years,the unique appearance“use very dry pen and ink to draw a painting for the style of Yuan Dynasty”was formed.His landscape painting was very good at using a few strokes and ink,to describe a very simple shape,depicting the open,quiet,deep sense and mysterious picture effect.This article will base on the comprehensive study of his poetry,calligraphy,painting,and related literature,to sort out the style of the different stages from his work,then from the ways of stroke of a Chinese character,composition,writing characteristics and spatial processing of several aspects to analyzing the painting features of Dai Benxiao’s landscape paintings deeply,analysis his painting proposition and aesthetic pursuit,and Combined with the current cultural phenomenon and their own learning experience to analysis the influence and inspiration of Dai Benxiao ’s landscape art on the later.
