Holy fool is a kind of Russian monk.In order to achieve the inside penance,they renounce the world and wandering around.In Russian literature,there are some images of holy fool,they are pure,honest and humble in Christianity.Myshkin in "The Idiot" is a typical image of holy fool.Similarly,there are strange monk images in Chinese culture,such as the “monks” by Shi Huijiao,which recorded a lot of strange monks.Their behavior are madness,but inside they have great wisdom.Jia Baoyu in "A dream of Red Mansions" was influenced by the strange monk,he finally passing to a bustling destination.The experience has been renamed "love monk recorded".Myshkin and Jia Baoyu all have similarity with the monks in their culture.They all have good heart,but look like "Crazy" or foolish.Religious culture gave them the spirit of comfort,Myshkin save others by "love",Jia Baoyu got enlightenment with "emotion",they all escaped the secular society at the last.However,under the influence of different religious and cultural,there are differences between the two people.To compare the characters in religious and cultural background,and explore the cultural factors behind the similarities and differences in the two images,we can analysis the religious spiritual and humanistic care effect to them.
