The movie industry as a kind of important cultural industry in the world plays a vital role in many countries and regions.As an important stage of life and an indispensable subject of movie,youth occupies an essential position in movie content.In foreign countries,especially Japan,South Korea and countries in Europe and America,youth movie is a sort of prosperous movie genre and becomes the important cause for young movie-goers.In mainland China,while youth appears in the Chinese films of the 20 th century,but youth movie has not yet become a movie genre.Young people on the screen are to manifest the characteristics of the times rather than individual value or the value of the youth.Strictly speaking,youth movie did not exist in mainland China for a very long period of time.In 2000,along with the vigorous development of Chinese movie industry,there are some "blockbusters",which are comparable with European and American films.These "high concept" films often have investments of dollars and the so-called big-name directors and stars.The picture and sound of these films are of great impact,but the plot is simple and popular.Therefore these films is with obvious commercialization and clear signs of imitation of American movies.Due to so many similarities and the lack of cultural connotation and humanistic care,the visual fatigue of Chinese movie audience results in the trough of Chinese film industry.However these small-budget films with the theme of "youth" have achieved high box office and good reputation for both quantity and quality,and received unanimous praise from the audience.Like an oncoming wisp of spring,"youth movie" gives people the comfort of "chicken soup for the soul".Through technical means of light and shadow,"youth movie" holds the signs of reminiscence,wants to bring the past back and leads audience to form experience of approval.This thesis firstly combs Chinese youth movies,analyzes their aesthetic features from aspects of the acceptance of theme,film language and narrative art by the case of Chinese youth movie since 2000 and focuses on exploring the development of mental mechanism of audience acceptance.Finally,the factors of success are summarized in order to make contributions to Chinese film industry.
