| In recent years,there have been a large number of youth movies in the mainland to depict youth and cherish the memories of youth.These movies have been quite attractive to a huge audience due to its unique story designs and style characteristics.From the aesthetic dimension of mainland youth movie,based on the youth movies in mainland China over the past five years,this paper will conduct a study using the theory of literature and art,aesthetics,media,communication,sociology and cultural studies.And this paper will analyze its individual and social reasons and examine and reflect on the creation and acceptance of mainland youth movies based on the perspective of its specific aesthetic representations.Influenced by the emergence of consumer culture and new media properties,as well as the demands for "nostalgia","identity","peep" of those who are under the modern "care",the mainland youth movie has formed its complex aesthetic characterization: lingering of "slender freshness" and "pseudo freshness",blend of "sentiment" and "cruelty",mutual involvement of "banter" and "kitsch",which are the products of artistic and commercial collision.Compared with foreign youth movies,commercial attribute of mainland youth movie has surpassed its artistic attribute,and this imbalance makes the mainland youth movie show some limitations in its aesthetic dimensions,such as superficialness of cultural connotations,loss of rationality in occasions of emotional carnivals,lack of innovations.This paper will analyze and criticize the phenomenon.It is hoped that the criticism of the aesthetic dimension of the contemporary Chinese youth movies can arouse people’s attention to this issue. |
