Sacrifice is a kind of etiquette towards ancestors and deities implemented by people,which has become a traditional custom,called sacrificial custom,after thousands of years’ inheritance in folk.This topic mainly studies the ritual culture of"Cuilong" of the Miao ethnic at Changliu Town in Qinglong County."Cuilong” is also known as "Yinglong Cuixie” or "Baofen” in the local ethnic that the bereaved family invites the “Xian Sheng” to choose an auspicious day to carry out ritual activities around the cemetery aiming at communication between yin and yang.Then the bereaved family convenes patriarchal clan,relatives,friends and so on,presided by the “Xian Sheng”,and avails themselves of this opportunity of adding soil to the cemetery to release souls from suffering again by reciting sutras.The ritual exists in the form of active state in the life of the Miao ethnic at Changliu Town in Qinglong County,which is one of the folk cultures that the local attach great importance to.Ritual phenomenon is one of the carriers of demonstrating ethnic culture by way of giving people a sense of direct visual impact in social life,which is a platform for displaying the many cultures of an ethnic.Based on field investigation,this paper takes the Miao ethnic at Changliu Town in Qinglong County as the research subject and makes a preliminary study on the “Cuilong” ritual of this folk-custom culture.The basic contents of the study are the reason of the “Cuilong” ritual via field investigation at Changliu Town in Qinglong County,the preparatory work of the family and the “Xian Sheng” before the ritual,the “Cuilong” ritual process on that very day,the relevant rehabilitation work after the ritual,etc.Taking one“ Cuilong”ritual of the Miao ethnic at Changliu Town as a concrete individual case,on the basis of document literatures and field investigation data,and combined with the relevant theories of ethnology and anthropology,this paper attempts to carry out a preliminary exploration on “Cuilong” ritual in the perspective of culturalanthropology.Based on that,this paper consists of three parts: Introduction,Text and Conclusion.Introduction: mainly about the reasons and significance of the topic,the relevant research summary,research methods and field selection and so on.Chapter I:In accordance with the document literatures and field investigation data,it carries out the general description of the Miao culture at Changliu Town in Qinglong County,which is the natural and cultural habitat circumstances of the“Cuilong” ritual.Mainly about the geography overview of Changliu Town in Qinglong County,the ancestral root and distribution town of flow profile,Miao ancestral source and distribution,Miao other related cultural events and so on.Chapter II:By taking one “Cuilong” ritual of the Miao ethnic at Changliu Town as a concrete individual case,the detailed description for the process of the ritual is carried out.The ritual is divided into three parts in content: the preparations made by the bereaved family and the ‘Xian Sheng’ before the ritual,the process of the ritual,and the relevant work after it.The preparations include the selection of the auspicious day of the "Cui Long” ritual,notification to the relatives and friends,and eulogy writing,etc.The ritual processes include the altar setting and deity inviting,“Long”greeting and altar opening,etc.,which consists of a dozens of produces different in contents and durations.The post-ritual works include guests entertaining and cemetery maintenance,and so on.Chapter III: the preliminary analysis of the cultural characteristics contained is carried out on the basis of the "Cui Long” ritual content,which mainly discusses the ritual characteristics of the sanctity of the ritual,mutual assistance between neighborhoods,re-soul assumption,emphasis on "filial piety" and equal stress on life and death,etc.In addition,the contrastive analysis between the “Cuilong” ritual of the Miao at Changliu Town and other ancestor sacrifices of other time periods such as the Chinese New Year,Tomb-sweeping Day,Hungry Ghost Festival and so on is carried out.Chapter VI: in the perspective of anthropology and Ethnology,the academicanalysis is carried out using field theory,symbol theory,functional theory and so on.Chapter V:The status of ‘Cuilong’ ritual in belief culture in the Miao people at Changliu town is discussed in the prospective of belief culture,and based on which the non-material cultural heritage characteristic of ‘Cuilong’ ritual is probed into from the view of non-material cultural heritage.And then carry out the preliminary analysis of ‘Cuilong’ ritual’ non-material cultural heritage value.Conclusion: the epilogue,which is a simple summary based on article review. |
