Good interpersonal relationship is an important guarantee for the development of physical and mental health of middle school students.However,the frequent occurrence of offensive events has become a major challenge for the students to develop good interpersonal relationships.Dealing with the offending events among the students and promoting the reconciliation between the offenders has become a practical problem for teachers.The teacher summed up a lot of ways to deal with the transgression in his work.A common strategy is to emphasize the identity of the offending classmates.However,no previous researchers have conducted an empirical study on the educational experience.This research adopts the vignette methodology,using two studies and four experiments investigated the effectiveness and psychological mechanism of this strategy to promote the reconciliation within the common ingroup identity activation,in order to provide scientific basis for teachers to deal with transgression.In study 1,we investigate the common ingroup identity activation effect on reconciliation respectively from the perspective of the offender and victim by 2 experiments;in study 2,we investigate the psychological mechanism of common ingroup identity activation promote the reconciliation respectively from the perspective of the offender and victim by 2 experiments.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Activating the common ingroup identity can effectively promote the reconciliation between the offender and the victim.(2)The identity activation of the common ingroup improves the offender's willingness to apologize and make peace,and empathy plays a partial mediating role.(3)Common ingroup identity activation improves the victim's willingness to forgive and make peace,common ingroup identity activation effects on reconciliation both through the mediating effect of simple apology expectations and empathy,and the chain intermediary that first step to promote empathy and promote expected to apologize.(4)The psychological mechanism of the promotion effect of the common ingroup identity activation on reconciliation is influenced by situational factors.For the first time,this study uses the Common Ingroup Identity Model to solve the campus middle school students' offence,and expands the application field of the Common Ingroup Identity Model.On the basis of this,this paper explores the role of expectation and empathy in the promotion of reconciliation within the common ingroup identity,which provides a reference for the further study of the common ingroup identity model.An empirical study of the experience in the process of education is helpful to the application and reflection of the educational experience.
