Study On Etiquette Aesthetics Of The Objects In A Dream Of Red Mansions

From the perspective of culturology, combining the specific text of A Dream of Red Mansions,taking the objects in A Dream of Red Mansions as the research point, according to the historical background of this novel and the characteristic of traditional set of etiquette in ancient China, this paper aiming to exploring the etiquette aesthetic forms and the etiquette aesthetic concept of the objects in A Dream of Red Mansions through the relationship between the objects and etiquette aesthetic. Therefore, it helps to open a new way for the study of etiquette aesthetic and the study of literary. The novel A Dream of Red Mansions tells a story about family life of feudal aristocracy, and objects are a particular constituent part in it. Taking cloth, food, shelter and transportation as the classification standard, the objects in A Dream of Red Mansions can be divided into costumes, utensils, household utensils, and other living things. With the objects itself and the traditional etiquette cultural foundation behind the objects, and put them in such etiquette paradigm in feudal aristocratic family like Jia, and found that the color, material and space position of the objects in A Ream of Red Mansions are showing some certain of aesthetic features and etiquette forms. According to the objects aesthetic forms, further exploring that the objects etiquette aesthetic concept in A Dream of Red Mansions are the concept of “hierarchical order" for human rights, the concept of "filial piety as the first" for filial piety, and the idea of cultivating "the ornamental and the combined plain properties".
