Informativity And Text Translation Studies

Text translation studies refer to the idea of using text analysis in translation studies.Text translation refers to the application of text linguistics in translation practice.In order to study the text and its translation,we need to take its text features into consideration.Informativity is one of the main features of text,and information conversion has a great influence on text reconstruction.Translators should not only accurately understand the information of the source language text,but also grasp the scale of subjective initiative.If over-interpreting the information of the source language text,it will difficult for the readers to understand the translation.Therefore,it’s important to balance the information degree and improve reading interest in the information conversion process.Translation principles of the text information conversion are equivalence,transitivity and flexibility.In the process of translation,translators must deeply understand the differences between languages and cultures,properly adjust the original message to be expressed,effectively transfer to the target language readers.The information conversion in translation involves many factors,including common knowledge,practical information,cultural differences and custom expressions,etc.,which also leads to the information degree of the source language to change in the target language.Nevertheless,translators must minimize the information differences caused by the linguistic and cultural differences,and realize the equivalent conversion of the amount of information contained in the inter-textual language units.In the whole studies,we make use of the literature-analysis method to review and sort out related materials to ensure the accuracy and innovation of the research content;adopt the inductive and deductive method to do the analysis of the information conversion of the text;apply the investigation method to analyze the specific circumstances of the information conversion of the text translation.This thesis expresses the relationship and difference between Chinese and western society,and on this basis,it makes a detailed description of translation phenomenons caused by the specific linguistic and cultural differences.This study tries to explore the text translation studies from a new perspective,we hoped that it can promote the development of text translation studies.
