A Report On The Translation Of Evolution Of Oblivious RAM Schemes

In the age of big data,users' personal information may be divulged by access pattern in cloud computing environment.However,the Oblivious Random-access Memory(ORAM)could protect users' access pattern from information disclosure.Several ORAM schemes are studied and compared in the source text of this translation report.The translation of the Evolution of Oblivious RAM Schemes aims to provide guidance to learners and researchers in the field of information security since relevant materials in Chinese are limited.Under the guidance of the acceptability strategy,the translation was accomplished based on the text typology theory of Katharina Reiss to convey the information,knowledge and idea completely.According to the form of the source text,the target readers and the translation purpose,the target text should conform to the reading habits of the target readers.In line with the core idea of the text typology theory,the translator should choose a suitable translation strategy on the basis of different types of the source text.In view of the language feature,the source text is classified as an informative text.Therefore,the target text should be a plain prose to make sure that the conceptual contents and communicative functions could be consistent with the source text.In this case,the translation should be acceptable to the target readers and convey accurate information.Blunt language is used in the source text,in which a lot of terminologies and professional words are employed.Therefore,the form of the translation should be fundamentally consistent with the expressing habits of the target language and be accepted by the target readers.In order to achieve this purpose,the translator focuses on applying the acceptability strategy while translating the terminologies,polysemes,concepts and sentences.The purpose of this report is to provide certain reference for the learners and researchers in cryptography,meanwhile,to provide guidance and reference for further translation studies on this type of text.
