Fusion Of Artistry And Popularity-research On Little Theatres In Beijing Region In The 21st Century

Since the 21 stcentury,little theatre drama at Beijing has been developing rapidly,successively producing lots of excellent little theatre drama works,with the rising of many little theatres,such as Guohua Pioneer Theatre,Nine Theatre,Penghao Theatre.In terms of theatrical performance,a variety of dramatic events appeared,including College Theatre Festival of China,Beijing Fringe Festival and Beijing Nanluoguxiang Theatre Festival.With its continuous development year after year,the little theatre drama at Beijig has formed relatively large scale,and the little theatre drama works tend to be the blending of artistic quality and popularity.The paper aims at distinguishing between the exclusive directors for theatre and those exclusive for drama workshop at Beijing,and respectively researching the combination between each kind of directors' artistic style & artistic quality and the popularity.In the process of studying exclusive directors for theatres,this paper selected director Ren Ming from Beijing People's Art Theatre,director Meng Jinghui from Fengchao Theater and director Huang Yanzhuo from Fanxing Theater Village for analysis.For the studying of exclusive directors for drama workshops,works directed by director Li Bonan and Leizi Lexiao Studio were selected as representatives for analysis.At the existing circumstances,it's imperative for the artistic quality and popularity to be blended in the development of China's little theatre drama.The blending of artistic quality and popularity of little theatre drama has both sides.On one hand,filling the previously developmental blank of the little theatre drama and exploring the new developmental models for little theatre drama have the positive significance.On the other hand,the artistic standards of little theatre drama can't be maintained and the spiritual & cultural levels of the public can't be improved,which has negative influences.
