Morceaux de Salon for Oboe and Piano Op.228 were 19 th century Romantic music pieces composed by Johann Wenzel kalliwoda.The pieces were vibrant,audacious,full of vitality,and very emotional.In the wake of the romantic period,people's ideology was emancipated,the public artistic demand was increased,the musical instruments were improved and popularized,hence the masses started to attach their importance to better performing skills.In these pieces,Kalivoda combined the classical oboe timbre with superb performing skills,presenting both country-style oboe timbre and the charm of oboe skills,and won the popular recognition.In this article,these pieces are analyzed in sections,from the aspects of both musical structure and performing skills.The composer,the background,and the musical style are studied,while the author's own performing experience is reviewed,to analyzed the pieces in various angles.The objective of this article is to help more oboist to understand these pieces about the musical style and the performing skills implicated,hence they may enjoy and perform the pieces better. |
