| Today, as the western countries’ musical is highly developed, China is now on the way of the best time in musical developing, the C hinese Cats has made a great contribution to our musical theatre development. After recommend the concept and characteristics of musical, the author separately expound the history of musical worldwide and countrywide. The thesis analyze the musical Cats from story, music, dancing, stage design and the metaphor to human’s world. Chinese Cats is very much similar to the original one, b ut differences also exist.
