The gradual construction and preservation of the Apartheid in South Africa has a very deep basis of ideology. As a mainstream faction of Christianity in South Africa, the Reformed Church has great influences on the politics of South Africa. It also affected the construction, development and decline of the Apartheid. It motivated Afrikaners to form their national spirit and stimulated them to develop a superiority complex, thus providing a crucial spiritual basis for the construction of Apartheid.Throughout the gradual construction of the Apartheid, the Reformed Church interpreted the Bible in a racist perspective, thus providing a spiritual basis of racial oppression;the Reformed Church itself became the ally of the White colonial administration and the Apartheid.Coincident with public awareness of the viciousness of the Apartheid, the anti-Apartheid powers rose in the internal of the Reformed Church and other Christian factions began to isolate it.In the fall of the Apartheid, faced with the judgement by Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the racist powers of African Reformed Church struggle to survive.
