Johannes Brahms(Johannes Brahms,1833—1897),the son of the nineteenth Century,an important classical composers in the romantic era,keeping his own unique music style when many composers are in praise of "self-liberation" tide.His works covered a wide range.In terms of symphony,he mainly inherited the musical tradition from Mozart,Beethoven and other classical era composers,absorbing many German folk music materials,but there is no lack of romantic artistic skills.Brahms does not created that much,a total of Four,but each one enjoyed popular support.Among them,<Symphony NO.fourth in E minor(Op.98)>is one of important works in his mid-to-late period,and it is full of melancholy and tragic conflict.This last Symphony reflects his thinking of life,which is very philosophical and literary,and it's the perfect combination of the classical feelings and oromantic ideas.This is the themed study of application in harmonic for Brahms' < Symphony NO.fourth in E minor(Op.98)>,which shows the misery that Brahms suffered in his life.The author through the analysis and Research of <Symphony NO.fourth in E minor(Op.98)>,he can explore the personalized approach of harmonic technique from five aspects,including the use of personalized chord material,the use of variable lattice,the use of accident processing,the use of linear processing and the use of diversified mode alternation,thus,it can discover the rich harmonic language and summarize the inheritance of the classical and the development of romanticism in this Brahms' work,and finally can demonstrate the vitality of the classical style in the romantic period in nineteenth Century.
