A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of LM6000 Gas Turbine Generator System

With economic globalization,apart from increasingly closer economic cooperations,there are more and more technological cooperations between Chinese and foreign enterprises.And the use of industrial machinery and equipment inevitably needs the guide of product manuals with comprehensive information and explanations.As practical texts,industrial product manuals aim to introduce and explain the product to customers.This report is intended to translate the LM6000 Gas Turbine Generator System with the guidance of functional translation theory,and analyze the translating strategies in different cases from three aspects: words,sentences and contexts.The balance of the coherence rule,the fidelity rule and the Skopos rule is also stressed in specific cases.This report would help the translation of industrial texts and have some referential value in further studies.
