The Wushu (Martial Arts) Description And Its Cultural Connotation In Jin Yong's Novel

Jin Yong's martial arts novels is a classic in the history of modern literature. It is a treasure in the treasure house of Chinese popular culture.It studys from now to heyday, which has been studied by many historians,scholars and critics, or deep or shallow . For example, Peking University professor Yan Jiayan,Kong Qingdong,Nankai University professor Tao Muning and Professor Wang Yichuan of Beijing Normal University, they respectively study from the perspective of history and culture, and point out the cultural connotation and philosophical thought of Jin Yong's martial arts novels . Professor Chen Mo,who aims at studying Jin Yong's martial arts novels and is the author of the twelve books of" Chen MopingJin Yong",and he respectively makes a detailed discuss of Jin Yong's martial arts novels from the perspective of cultural knowledge and cultural spirit. In the above studies, the research of Wushu and culture is in the majority, second to the techniques and editions of the study,and the research of the characters is the least. The martial arts novels, "Wu "word at the head, related to the research of martial arts, mostly focus on the analysis of martial schools and martial arts action and classification. The scholars have done a lot of research in the aspects of martial arts, and achieved fruitful results, but from the perspective of sports literature, the study of martial arts description and cultural connotation has not been in full swing, this paper is based on Jin Yong's 15 martial arts novels as the research object, through detailed analysis, the name of Wushu,the classification of Wushu and the characters who use Wushu are discussed,and its cultural implications are revealed.This paper mainly has four parts,the first part is the definition of martial arts novels from the significance of sports literature , and reveals the relationship between each other; the second part mainly takes the martial arts name and classification of Jin Yong's martial arts novel as the content to carry on the analysis , and the authenticity of martial arts in the novel is analyzed and researched; the third part from the perspective of culture,analyzes the names and classifications of martial arts described in Jin Yong's martial arts novels and the origin of Chinese traditional culture ,and the discussion of this part fully shows that Wushu in Jin Yong's martial arts novels is an important component of its cultural embodiment ; the fourth part combines the original in Jin Yong's martial arts novels and describes the logic system.narrative function, role shaping and artistic achievement of Wushu description. I hope this paper can open up a new research angle for the study of Jin Yong's martial arts novels.
