Sikhs is an Indian minorities and have their own religion,which also once had established their own kingdom in the Punjab.Sikhs was conquered by the British in the 19 th century.In the early 20 th century,Sikhs started on the path of against British colonial rule.After India's independence,Because the central government had not dealt with the Sikhs in economic,political and cultural relations for a long time,The antagonism of the Sikhs gradually developed,and eventually evolved into the Sikh separatist movement.The article is divided into the following four parts.The first part is the historical background of the Indian Sikhs separatist movement.It discusses the British colonial rulers of Sikhs in economic,political,military,culture and so on various aspects of policy.In the process of a long colonial rule,the contradiction between Sikhs and British colonists increasingly apparent,so the opposition mood gradually breeding,the final process go on the road against the British.It was during the long struggle against Britain that the Sikhs began to wake up.The second part is to analyze the formation and causes of the Sikh separatism.On the eve of the independence of India,the Sikhs put forward the requirements of the establishment of the country alone,but failed to succeed.After the independence of India,they fought for the establishment of the Punjab language state,and asked the Sikhs to further expand the autonomy of the Sikh separatist movement.Since the government of India has been unable to meet its demands,the Sikhs have embarked on the road to the central government.The third part is the development and influence factors of the Sikh separatist movement.In the 80 s,the further development of Sikh separatist movement,they try to separate Punjab,and to the India central launched the non cooperation movement,the contradiction between the central and local governments lead to more prominent.During this period,the rise of the Sikh extremist forces,the mistakes of the Indira Gandhi administration policy and the further combination of the internal and external forces of the Party led to the further development of the separatist movement in India.Since the early 1990 s,the separatist movement of Sikhs gradually declined.The fourth part mainly discusses the influence of the separatist movement in India.The Sikh separatist movement in India had an impact on the politics,economy and society of Punjab.The Sikh separatist movement intensified the unrest in Punjab,intensified the conflict between Punjab and the central government,and worsened the relationship between the local India and sikhs.
