Study On Application Of 3D Laser Scanning Technology In The Protection Of The Buddha

During the development of human society,there are many precious cultural relics,such as very valuable figure of Buddha.After natural erosion and man-made destruction,they became incomplete or even disappear.Therefore,for the maintenance and repairs to the Buddha have become one of the important work of cultural relics protection.We could not get all the measurement data of appearance of figure of Buddha through traditional methods,especially the Buddha data which had damaged.3d laser scanning technology is a kind of new measuring technology,3d laser scanning technology have raised a subversive revolution on surveying and mapping technology in the three-dimensional field.In recent years,3d laser scanning technology is a hot research topic in the earth space information science,which has been widely applied in the field of domestic protection of cultural relics.It adopts the way of non-contact and active measurement method to collect massive amounts of high-precision three-dimensional coordinates,it broke the conventional measurement technology in the precision of time,space,limitations,can quickly and accurately convert real entity 3d spatial information into computer for processing and modeling of 3d data.This paper takes baifuo mountain grottoes statue protection as the background,I used 3d laser scanning technology on baifuo mountain Buddha group,I researched Buddha irregular collection of 3d data acquisition and the 3 d model reconstruction method.I used the ground three-dimensional laser scanner and hand-held laser scanner to scan figure of Buddha,gathered huge amounts of high-precision three-dimensional coordinates,got the point cloud data of each figure of Buddha.And I used Geomagic studio12,which is reverse engineering software and I used it to manipulate point cloud data of collected entities,multistation data splicing processing and 3d modeling and entity reconstruction,realize 3d geometric modeling,data,3d model repair.And 3d digital model of generation of Buddha texture map processing,get the figure of Buddha of realistic 3d models,I got sectional elevation and section line about three-dimensional models of Buddha directional.Then elevation and section line was imported into AutoCAD,provides basic data and accurate first-hand information for Buddha long preservation,repair recovery and digital museum,also provides the Buddha the feasibility of the scheme for protection of cultural relics protection units and decision-making departments to,the research has important practical significance.
