Madame Roland is known as the Girondist uncrowned king in French Revolution.Her famous saying “Freedom,Freedom,how many crimes are false in your name” is widespread.As one of the few women writers and historians,in addition to the discussion of liberalism,Mademe Roland’s thought is also mixed with the feminist ideology,her Feminist thought could not shake off the mark of the French Revolution.The origin of Madame Roland’s feminist theory is very complex,she was deeply affected by the ancient Rome Stoic philosophy,Rousseau,Condorcet and Diderot’s thought in Enlightenment,the great influence to her is Rousseau.In addition to theoretical guidance from books,her life experience also makes Madame Roland determined to be a feminist fighter.Madame Roland’s feminist thought is relatively comprehensive,she analyzes women in restricted and oppressed status from the perspective of marriage,political life,social status and other fields,and ask women to go out of the private sector and join the public life actively.Madame Roland’s work was made public after her death,the idea of women should be participation in politics life actively was used as a theoretical guide to the early feminist movement,and become the central idea of the first wave of Feminism.Madame Roland was introduced into China by the heroine image in the late Qing Dynasty,the image of women who devote themselves to the management of the country to promote the development of Chinese woman’s movement.
