Study On Wenchang Belief In Ming Dynasty

Wenchang emperor is the gods controlling scholar fame.With the development of the imperial examination system in China for thousand years,Wenchang belief has a significant and profound impact on China's political ideology,culture,education and social life ect.Ming Dynasty is the critical period of the development of Wenchang belief,and the achievements of Wenchang belief have discussedquiet few in the academic system in the Ming Dynasty.This paper points out the following three aspects on the belief of Wenchang in Ming Dynasty.The function of Wenchang emperor in Ming Dynasty has been concentrated to the official name on the membership,and the rest of the clergy,such as in charge of childbearing,asylum officials,more or less associated with their masters.While in order to punish the rebels and resist foreign affairs in the Tang and Song dynasties they had disappeared without a trace in the Ming Dynasty.Corresponding to this,the image of generals of Wenchang Emperor disappeared,while the image of civilian officials has become the most common image of the Ming Dynasty.At the same time Wenchang emperor has its own gods system and the attendants with deaf and dumb.With the development of Wenchang belief,Wenchang Palace Temples are all over the country,and it's more common in the economically developed Jiangnan region.And as the same time,there is something relative to Wenchang emperor's folk appeared,such as respect for the word paper and Wenchang hole the music.Wenchang emperor's position in the Ming Dynasty ups and downs.In the early Ming Dynasty,the development of Wenchang Emperor was supported by the Ming dynasty.The capital Wenchang Temple in Ming Dynasty was rebuilted by Yingzong.However,the first year of Hongzhi(1488),Ming Xiaozong agreed to the Ministry of Rites Zhou Hongmo and others' requestdefeated Wenchang emperor.Ming Dynasty dynasty change the attitudetowards the Wenchang belief for four reasons: First,the early years in Hongzhi,due to financial difficulties in Ming Ting,the demolition of Wenchang Temple can save no fee;second,Wenchang belief is not clear with itself defect;then it is contradictory between the worship of Wenchang emperor and Confucianism;the last,Ming Xiaozong in order to make the social tradition soft,stoped to do religious rites.However,due to poor supervision,the death or leave of thepolicy advocators,the different views on the worship of Wenchang emperor among the scholars,and owe to Wenchang beliefdeeped to people's heart,it isdifficult to suppress the development of Wenchang belief withMing Ting's ban on the paper.In Song dynasty,Wenchang emperor occasionally have to worship the phenomenon of the palace.To the Ming Dynasty,Wenchang Palace Temple generally attached to the school in the palace.The reason that why Wenchang Palace Temple generally attached to the school has three facts: First,Wenchang belief can make up for the examination of the defects of the imperial examination;Second,the construction of Wenchang Palace Temple is the means to revitalize the local style;Third,the scholar generally enshrined the results.For the Wenchang emperor attached to the school,the scholar have different ideas,they are opponents who believe that Wenchang belief is not clear,so that should be withdrawn from the school.There is support for those who believe that Wenchang belief "in the power of Confucianism."...
