Research On Ethnic Work Of Northwest Bureau (1941-1949)

The northwest region is one of the main areas that a number of nationalities live together in Chinasince ancient times,ethnic composition is more complex,the national problemsare particularly prominent.After the Communist Party Chinese reached the north of Shannxiin 1935 also paid great attention to ethnic work in this area.In order to unite the northwest minority compatriots,after the establishment of the Northwest Bureau,had carried out a large number of national work,form the national united front area that the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region as the main bodyand gradually expand to the surrounding area,then promoted the northwest region of the new democratic revolution process.In this paper,it talks about ethnic work that the Northwest Bureaucarry outfrom 1941 to 1949 :First of all,the paper introduces the Northwest Bureau the relevant agencies of the nation work.The main exhibition is national institutions under the Northwest Bureau,such as democracy,the United Front Work Department and the district committee;in addition,there are institutions of national research,including the fourth Bureau of the Central Investigation and minorities working group underthe Northwest Bureau.Secondly,introduces the work that the Northwest Bureau carried out in the period of Anti Japanese war national practice.First,discusses the research work that the Northwest Bureau led,mainly on the problems of ethnic minorities,ethnic policies of the Kuomintangin the northwest region,investigation that the fourth branch presided.Second,the national work in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxiaborder region,the main contents include the training of minority nationality cadres,unity of minority elite leaders and command of ethnic minorities in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region.Third,describes the national practicein Ih Ju League,through the way of uniting and struggling to against the oppression,set the national policies that suitable to this place,after theincident of Qi Jinshan,strengthened military to boycott the Kuomintang.Again,this part describes the work of Northwest Bureau in Ih Ju League,Gansu and Ningxiain the war of liberation.First,in Ih Ju League,including the development of Party members and Party organizations,united the person of the Yimeng,at last form the peaceful liberation of Ih Ju League.Second,talk about the national work that the Northwest Bureau carried out in Gansu and Ningxia,the main activities are the recovery and establishment of Party organizations,strove for minority elites and publicized the party’s ethnic policy in minority nationality regions.Finally,summarizes the historical role and significance of carrying out national work by Northwest Bureau during the 1941 to 1949.First,consolidated the Anti Japanese national united front that the leading of the CCP.Second,promoted the peaceful liberation and development of the ethnic minorities in Northwest China.Third,this work laid a good foundation for dredging ethnic relations,opened the worksmoothly in minority areas in the early period after the foundation of new China,and provided valuable historical experience for democraticreform and socialist transformation of the region.
