Horror films are the nightmare of man-made processing,a nightmare with the use of visual and auditory to manufacture wonders and unknown illusions.Horror film is different from science fiction,it is not subject to scientific,rational constraints,and it does not need to explain what is terror,designed to let people watch the film and experience fear emotion.And the horror films of found footage style changed the audience bystanders,peepers perspective,through the hand-held camera,surveillance cameras and other equipment to cause an illusion about real videoing to the audiences,and it swept the world after 2006 becoming a fixed image style of horror films.Based on the dimension of horror film history,this paper studies the emerging trend of horror film as a major type of commercial film as the horizon of horror film,and analyzes the reasons why this style appears and its development and characteristic,through the rise of found footage style to understand the West horror film audio-visual changes and the nature of consumption;to explore the future development of this kind of horror film and the revelation to Chinese horror /horror film.After the statistics,because of its manifestations and content,which emphasize the external shock effect,found footage style of horror films often ignore the event,psychological inquiry and so on.So scholars and the film industry pretend to criticize and belittle this form of horror film by thinking it is greater than the content.This paper intends to make a comparative analysis of the found footage style of horror films in the new century,and study the audio-visual language of film cases with a view to making some theoretical support for the development and practicality of Chinese horror movies.This article is divided into the introduction,the text of five chapters,a total of some content.The preface puts forward the purpose and significance of the dissertation research and the present situation and research ideas.The first chapter from the history roots of horror film,imitates the development of European and American horror film and defines the conception.The second chapter analyzes the narrative strategy of the horror film under the style of found footage.The second chapter analyzes the narrative strategy of the horror film from the horizon of horror film,from the narrative theme,the narrative subject and the narrative structure.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the characteristics of the audio-visual language of the horror movies inEurope and the United States under the influence of the imitation record style,and makes a detailed study on the lens design,character modeling and sound setting.In the fourth chapter,Style of horror movies and other media correlation analysis to understand the horror film to absorb what other cultural products in the characteristics and use;the fifth chapter is a brief summary of the status quo of Chinese domestic horror film,and from the overall European and American horror film’s found footage style of the characteristics of the record and the thinking about flaws,hoping to inspire the domestic horror film innovation and localization strategy.
