This paper expounds the theoretical system background and the scientific nature of the configuration method.This paper expounds the importance of the configuration method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from the aspects of the particularity of Chinese and Chinese characters,the characteristics of Chinese characters and the nature of Chinese characters.This paper explores the application of the configuration method in the TSC(Test of Chinese speaking)class.In the early stage,it is suggested that the "146 characters" should be used to systematically teach Chinese characters.The middle stage should use the level and function of the elements to carry on the teaching of Chinese characters deeper.Practice has proved that part of the students can overcome some of the tone,homophone confusion,and to learn Chinese have a strong interest.But there are still some of the students teaching ineffective,did not achieve the intended purpose of structural teaching.The reason can be attributed to: the limitations of the configuration method itself.The teacher's own lack of depth and proficiency in the configuration method,the students adaptability to the configuration method and the ability to understand is limited.The article argues that teaching Chinese as a foreign language should emphasize that the literal and literal literacy should be combined with the literal emphasis,but the emphasis should be on the basic characters,and the level and function should be emphasized in the middle and later periods.
