Chinese and Japan is a narrow strip of water,two neighboring countries,has a long history of culture.The relationship between the two countries is perplexing,the Tang Dynasty from the Japanese envoys to Chinese students learning,to the modern war and confrontation,the two countries established diplomatic relations again until after the founding of diplomatic relations between the two countries once again.In recent years,Chinese put forward strategy of construction of "The Silk Road",which makes the relations between the two countries become close up.The ancient Silk Road is not only between the East and the west traffic,but also for the future to maintain the stability of international relations and friendly,but also a good opportunity.The two countries have had a lot of experience in the documentary field,which makes the two versions of the documentary very meaningful.The earliest China in cooperation with other countries in the documentary film is in 1980 China CCTV and Japanese NHK to capture the "Silk Road",since then,between the two countries will continue to cooperate to shoot,as in 1990 to capture the "looking at the Great Wall" and the "Dunhuang" and "the Imperial Palace".In 2005,China and Japan again launched the "Silk Road" craze,re filming the Silk Road Theme documentary "New Silk Road".In this paper,the content of the documentary theme,visual and auditory language and a variety of narrative methods and so on,using content analysis and comparative study,comparison of the differences between the two versions of the documentary.With the emphasis on the visual language and auditory language part,starting from the macro Chinese version focuses on performance and professionalism,while the Japanese version focuses on micro features and details of the two aspects,each one has its own merits to shoot.In this paper,through the comparative study,we found that the strengths of other countries in the shooting,for the future development of China's documentary recommendations for reference.
