A Study On “V De Jiushi X”Construction

The “V de jiushi X”construction is a special structure in modern Chinese,which is used into two different ways,one is the conventional use,the other one is the unconventional use.Based on Construction Grammar theory,we pay more attention to discuss the match of form and functions.By using corpus research,comparative analysis and other methods,we do research on “V de jiushi X”construction with a wide appliance in modern spoken Chinese from syntactic,semantic and pragmatic.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part introduction describes the research object of this paper,the research targets,the research status,the research theories,the research methods and the sources of corpus of this thesis.The second part analyzes the syntactic formation of “V de jiushi X”construction,finding the selection and restriction relations of the collection of “V”and “X”.This chapter mainly studys the syntactic formation of the “V” and the “X” which make up“V de jiushi X”construction.First,we expound the syntactic formation of the“V”and the “X” which are in the the conventional use of the construction.Second,we discuss the syntactic formation the “V”and the “X” which are in the unconventional use of the construction.In the end,it studys the syntactic feature of “V de jiushi X”construction.The third part is semantic characteristics analysis of “V de jiushi X”construction.At first,it discusses the semantic features of the conventional use,including the the semantic features of the “V”and the “X”,and the semantic relationship of “V”and “X”.After that,it analyzes the semantic features of the unconventional use,which contains the the semantic features of the “V”and the “X”,and the semantic relationship of “V”and “X”.The forth part is about pragmatic function analysis of “V de jiushi X”construction.First of all,it introduces the pragmatic function of the construction’sconventional use.And then this chapter discusses the the pragmatic function of the construction’s unconventional use,which focuses on the type of the pragmatic meaning,the pragmatic conventional implicature,the pragmatic context,the linguistic stylistic style,and the conventional meaning.The last part is the conclusion.It describes the achieved outcomes and the shortcomings of this thesis,and the work of future.
