Case Study On Famous Clans Of Gaochang Kingdom

The Gaochang kingdom under the govern of Qu Clan,was a typically society dominated by several famous families,which mainly derived from Helong(??)region,and the Marriage relationship between the royal house of Qu and other famous families directly affect the political status of the latter.From the aspect of the origins of Gaochang's famous families,He,Gao,and Xin Clans all belongs to the powerful family of Helong region,and some members of those three clans had established marriage relationship with the royal house of Qu.Because of the time that He,Gao,Xin clans established marriage relationship with the Royal house of Qu,and the depth of the relationship between the royal house of Qu and those three clan were different,as an result,the development process of He,Gao,and Xin clans not only had some common features,but also,what's worth our to pay more attention to,is the difference of the development process of those three clans.If compare the political status development process of the three clans.We can find that the time that the political status of He clan and Gao clan changed from flourish to decadence was the mid of the reign of Qu qiangu(???),and the political status of Xin clan changed from weak to strong after Qu qiangu succeeded to the throne.The development process of the political status of He clan and Gao clan were similar to the Xiping Qu clan,which originally belongs to the same clan with the royal house of Qu,and development process of the political status of Xin clan similar to Gaochang's Zhang Xiong family.This indicates that during the reign of Qu qiangu the relative political status of Gaochang kingdom had gradually changed.If taking the fact that Zhang Xiong family and He clan had deeply engaged in Gaochang's Yi-He coup into account,I suspect there was a strong possibility that the broke out of Yi-He coup may be an result of political conflict between the new influential families represented by Zhang xiong family,Xin clan and the former influential families represented by the Xiping Qu clan,He clan and Gao clan.As for whether the new influential families and the former influential families can be divided by Dunhuang immigrant group and the Longyou(??)immigrant group,proposed by Song Xiaomei,still remains further study.
