The purpose of this study is to further validate the cognitive and maintenance model of social anxiety by check the effects of negative physical self and the fear of negative evaluation,in the hope of reveal the relationship between media ideal internalization,negative physical self,the fear of negative evaluation and social interactive anxiety.The result will offer the theoretical and experimental contribution to help solve the actual psychological trouble that young women have with their body dissatisfaction.This study adopts questionnaire survey,792 girls from local five universities on a voluntary basis have carried on the questionnaire test,including four scales: the appearance of social cultural attitude questionnaire,negative physical self scale,concise fear negative evaluation scale,the social interaction anxiety scale.Main discussions involve: one of research is to know is whether there are differences for girls from various colleges,majors,grades,hometown locations on media internalization,negative physical self,negative evaluation,social anxiety;another is to find out if negative physical self and negative self mediate between media internalization and social anxiety.Results of statistical analysis are as follows:(1)Female college students in our province suffer the media internalization,negative physical self,negative fear,social anxiety to a moderate degree;(2)Significant differences exist between girls from various colleges on media internalization,negative physical self and negative fear,undergraduate girls got higher score than girls from vocational colleges,and there is no difference in terms of social anxiety;(3)There are no major different on above subjected four items;(4)There is significant statistical discrepancy between girls in different grades on media internalization,sophomore,junior scored higher than freshman;there is also differences on negative physical self,senior scored significantly higher than freshman and sophomore,junior;No differences onthe fear of negative evaluation and social anxiety;(5)Girls from various hometown locations scored significantly different in media internalization,girls from urban suffered internalization to a higher degree than from the countryside;no difference on the negative physical self,negative fear,social anxiety;(6)The negative physical self and the fear of negative evaluation function a multiple intermediary role between media internalization and social anxiety.
