Intergenerational Transmission Of Adolescent Well-being

The present study is based on the integrated model of well-being and investigated the relationships between parental well-being,offsprings' and positive parenting.Correlation analysis indicated that:1.the well-being of adolescents and their parents were in the middle level,in which the parental well-being is greater than their children.2.Psychological well-being of adolecents have significant differences in gender,boys higher than girls;adolescent subjective well-being and psychological well-being differ greatly between singleton and non-singleton,the only child higher than non only child;children's well-being have no significant difference in income levels and whether their on the town or not.3.Adolescent psychological well-being and social well-being have significant differences in parents' marital quality;Adolescent whose parents have a harmonious marriage are happier than those who often quarrel with the spouse;There is a significant difference in the father's educational level of the children's well-being,and the children's subjective and social well-being are significantly different in the mother's education level.4.There was a significant positive correlation between parents and their children's well-being.The intergenerational transmission of subjective well-being existed.Specifically,the effects of intergenerational transmission were higher in mother.And The intergenerational transmission of psychological well-being and social well-being in mother,but not father.5.In terms of subjective well-being,the intergenerational transmission effect of the mother to the daughter is grenter than the father;For the psychological well-being,there were the intergenerational transmission of the mother to the daughter and the father to the son;For the social well-being,there was the only transfer mode of mother and daughter.6.Adolescent well-being was positively correlated with parents' care and encouragement and negatively correlated with parental control.Mother's careand encourage mediated the association between mothers' well-being and off-springs' well-being and mediate the course of transmission,but in the intergenerational transmission of intermediary effect of father's care and encouragement is not significant.
