Practice Study Report On E-C Translation Of I Visit Yenan(Excerpts)

Reportage is a kind of literary form featuring news and prose.The translation of reportage needs to balance the documentary and literariness of the original text.The translated edition of the reportage works on history can remind us of the past in peace country.As a result,the translation of the reportage works on history is of great significance in educating the youth of that history.Therefore,It is a valuable topic to study and probe for the translation of the reportage works on history.This study report is based on the practice and experiences in the process of translation of the book I Visit Yenan(excerpts).Through the process of this translation project and the analysis of the cases in the translation version,the author discusses the problems in the process of the translation practice and summarizes the corresponding skills and solutions to the translation of reportage text.Firstly,this study report briefly introduces the original materials.Secondly,followed by the preparation of the translation,this study report summarizes the translation process and the assessment of the translated version.Thirdly,the author introduces the theory of text typology and discusses the guidance of text typology theory with translation of the reportage text.Then,this study report lists and analyzes the specific cases in the course of translation practice.The author sums up the translation strategies of proper nouns in the process of translation,the translation of some cultural historic nouns,the translation of report's title translation,the translation of characters and the translation of metaphor rhetoric device.Finally,the author summarizes the gains,experiences and shortcomings,aiming to lay a solid foundation in the future of translation practices.
