A Study Of The Huangmei Opera Performance Undergraduate Program’s Curriculum

The Huangmei Opera is an essential and influential cultural resource of Anhui province and has been listed in the first group of cultural heritage in China since 2006.The Huangmei Opera school of Anqing Normal University was founded in 2006,and next year it began to admit four-year undergraduates of the Huangmei Opera performance,which makes the Huangmei Opera the third opera cultivating four-year undergraduates,and will benefit the protection and development of the opera.The opera performance education is a special arts education and its curriculum should also have its unique characteristic.This thesis based on surveys has a description and an analysis of its curriculum,and try to probe into how to optimize it.Presently,no such study has been done in this field,so it’s meaningful to carry on this study to push forward this new major.This thesis has four parts:The introduction is mainly about the reason,significance,object,target,methods,and innovations of this study,as well as the achievements in this field.The history of the Huangmei Opera since its coming into being in the beginning stage of the 20th century is briefly introduced in chapter 1.In chapter 2,a comparison is done to find what are kept or changed in the curriculums of the 2008 version and the 2014 version,and some theory involved is described.In chapter 3,the problems in present curriculum and the ways to optimize it are discussed.
