Nowadays,more and more universities have paid great attention to cultivating students’ literacy of drama by setting up courses about experiencing theatre,with the purpose to encourage students to enter into the rehearsal rooms and experience the real charm of drama.Accordingly,the research about how to carry out active and effective experiential courses is helpful with regard to proposing a better scheme for teaching practices and furthermore,it can function as a theoretical basis and provide better environment for the drama teaching reform nowadays in several colleges and universities.As a newly opened experiential course,“The Practice of Drama” aims to improve students’ aesthetic level of drama appreciation.The main content of the course is the rehearsal of some classic drama clip,which we reproduced by various domestic and foreign playwrights.Through the self-display on the stage,students can experience the real charm of drama,as well as show themselves confidently.Through the study and performance of the classic drama works,students can have a better understand of their lives,the society they are living in,the foreign world and even the human beings from the perspective of drama.What is more,it can improve students’ professional skills and help them become high-quality,well rounded drama talents.The research direction of this paper is mainly about the significance,the detailed methods and the successful practice of the experiential course in teaching students in the fields of film,television & drama literature.By referring to the practical cases in teaching as the research basis,combining the summary,deepening and argument about the existing theories,this thesis briefly examines the value and the significance of the innovativecourse in the drama teaching reform.In view of this,this paper will focus on the teaching practice of the new experiential course,through a relatively in-depth discussion of the teaching objectives,the selection of teaching materials,and the practical experiences gaining from my teaching work.This thesis,as an expression of my personal opinions,could serve as a basis for further academic discussions.I hope for the advices from experts.
