The pictorial stone is a prevalent kind of art form in Han Dynasty.The studying of the pictorial stone in Han Dynasty has a very important value for studying the art tradition.It is also very important for studying the society,culture and thought of Han Dynasty.As we all know,the pictorial stone in Han Dynasty which have their own characteristics are influenced by different local culture,and Shandong region is no exception.The pictorial stone of Han tomb in Wu Baizhuang,Linyi is an important representation of Shandong region as its diverse,comprehensive and rich shape.It can not only show the beauty of the frescoes in Han Dynasty,but also represent the communication of Han culture and exotic culture.Therefore,the study of modeling characteristics and modeling direction of Wu Baizhuang’s pictorial stone can not only enrich the current research of the Han pictorial stone and further highlight the beauty of ancient frescoes,but also show the inclusiveness and openness of our ancient art.It helps to absorb traditional nutrients and provides an extremely important revelation for contemporary art practices.This paper studies the shape of Han pictorial stone in Wu Baizhuang.The article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the background and important subjects of Wu Baizhuang’s Han pictorial stone.The second chapter focuses on the modeling characteristics of Wu Baizhuang’s Han pictorial stone from the composition of the way,the form of object and figure,performance skills and the form beauty.The third chapter describes several Han pictorial stone which have some exotic elements in the Han tombs of Wu Baizhuang.Through examples,it is pointed out that it has been largely influenced by the foreign culture.It also points out that the creators at that time have had deep open and syncretic artistic thinking.The fourth chapter analyzes the modeling direction and cultural meaning of the Han pictorial stone in Wu Baizhuang.The fresco is not only decorated with its decorative function,but also depicts the Devaloka life of the tomb owner afterhis death,and eventually the purpose of helping people ascend by the various modeling characteristics.The conclusion summarizes the uniqueness and modeling value of Wu Baizhuang’s Han pictorial stone,thus completes the initial exploration of the shape of Han pictorial stone.The research seeks to be illustrated and mutual supported,so that let more people understand and love the Han pictorial stone in Wu Baizhuang.And it can let people feel the glamour of traditional culture and art from these deep and elegant frescoes.The innovation of this paper is based on a comprehensive study of the three levels of composite character,exotic element and modeling direction for the Han pictorial stone in Wu Baizhuang’s Han tomb.By using comparative arguments,it finds out the similarities and differences between Wu Baizhuang’s Han pictorial stone and the other pictorial stone.On one hand,the author absorbed some of the existing theories.On the other hand,it focuses on the morphological characters that combine the Han culture and exotic cultural elements.And based on these characters,it analyzes its irreplaceable artistic value and meaning.The author hopes to explore the scope of the study of Han painting through the discussion of the shape of the Han pictorial stone in Wu Baizhuang.The author also hopes to provide some artistic insights to other academic studies of this Han tomb and to do a little power for the culture research.
