Research On Higher Vocational Public English Teaching Reform From The Perspective Of Cultivation Of Workplace English Capacity

Based on a real and strong contrast of "unavailable labors" and "mass unemployment" and the real situation of talents cultivation positioning in Higher Vocational Colleges as well as a crisis public English teaching facing, we have a deep research of how to come back to its original intention of cultivating students' workplace English capacity. According to the above logical thinking, the overall structure of this paper will be arranged as follows:The first part is the background introduction, which explains the reasons for the questions rising, the significance of this study, the related documentary survey, and the thoughts and methods of this paper.The second part gives a definition of workplace English capacity and other related concepts from the theoretical point of view. Then, on the basis of the analysis of the target orientation of higher vocational talents training, this paper makes an interpretation of the elements of workplace English ability to be cultivated in Higher Vocational Public English teaching.The third part surveys on the students' workplace English capacity and the employers' satisfaction with students workplace English capacity through the questionnaire, which provides realistic reasons and bases for the reform of Vocational College English teaching.The fourth part focuses on the reform of the Higher Vocational Public English Teaching, which is the key point of this article. Some measures are put forward in several aspects: teaching philosophy,teaching methods, teaching environment, teaching content,teaching evaluation, teacher training and so on, providing a systematic suggestion for the reform of Higher Vocational Public English teaching.
