| In this paper,we mainly investigate a special kind of compound words which has same form but different structures.This paper consists of four chapters.In the first chapter,we reviewed the history and progress about some related research and set out the the research content,purpose,significance and the source of the corpus.The main content of the second chapter is the definition and the classification.In modern Chinese,there is a kind of words that the different meanings of the same word can analysis as different structures.We called this kind of words as same form but different structures words.In the second section of the second chapter,we exhausted this kind of words in the Modern Chinese Dictionary.We collected four types totally.The first type of compound words has verb-object and head structure on its different meanings.The second type of compound words has head structure and verb-adverbial structure on its different meanings.The third type of compound words has combined structure and verb-object structure on its different meanings.The forth type of compound words has head word structure and combined structure on its different meanings.We analysis the four types of compound words based on the classification.The striking feature of the first type is morpheme of word formation which is not typically.In the second type,the morpheme which on the adverbial position semantic directed on the morpheme on the center position or the element out of the word.But when the compound word was head word structure,the morpheme on the attributive position semantic directed on the center position.In the third type,most of the words has a morpheme of which rational meaning has different analysis.In the third chapter,we mainly analysis the formation mechanisms of same form but different structures word.There is two principal reasons.The First principal reason is the morphemes of the compound word is not typical as a kind of morpheme,such as the weak action of the verb morpheme and the non-nominal character of noun morpheme.The second principle reason is the particularity of of compound morphemes’ the semantics.It mainly showed in three aspects.Firstly,the rational meaning of compound morpheme has different analysis.Secondly,the meaning of the compound morpheme has different present ways in the compound words.Lastly,the semantic relationship between morphemes has different analysis.In the forth chapter,the author puts forward some suggestions on the compound word in the Modern Chinese Dictionary.This paper argues that words can be labeled as one entry only when the relationships between the meanings of the word are closely and extended.Otherwise,homographs should not include in the same entry. |
