Adjective reduplication usually first appears in the primary Chinese textbook,and it is the difficulty of ‘learning' and ‘teaching'.There is so much modern Chinese ontology research and a few about adjective reduplication at teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However,the study of adjective reduplications in primary Chinese textbook and relevant proposals and countermeasures is seldom.This thesis chooses The Road to Success which is widely used in Chinese nowadays.And research adjective reduplication.It analyses the advantages and disadvantages of teaching material.It puts forward opinions about teaching material and countermeasures.This thesis has five chapters in total.The first chapter is an introduction.It elaborates the reason of choosing this article as well as research purpose and research significance.It makes critical review about formers' studies from several aspects including the forms of adjective reduplication,reduplication conditions,grammatical meaning,grammatical function,and pragmatic function.It states its research scope and research theory.In the end,it confirms research methods and the train of research.Chapter two firstly studies the requests on adjective reduplication given by Three Outlines.Then it studies the specific conditions of adjective reduplication on forms,content,practice,reproduce rate in the article of The Road to Success(primary Chinese).The third chapter presents and analyses the data collected from the questionnaire that aims to investigate the situation of students' study situation.It also gives error analysis about the questionnaire results.According to precious studies,chapter four puts forward opinions and suggestions on how to compile the content of adjective reduplication and how to teach.Chapter five makes a conclusion of the research study,including the research achievement and insufficient of this paper.Through survey and questionnaire,we can learn that the compiling of adjective reduplication has much more disadvantages than advantages in The Road to Success(primary Chinese).Without fully consideration on the language acquisition of foreign students,it is a little bit random when the compiler compile on adjective reduplication.Therefore,the thesis hopes that it can give some opinions to the compiler to later textbooks' compiling;and it also can give teachers some ideas on teaching countermeasures in The Road to Success(primary Chinese)class teaching.
