| Based on the predecessors’ research results, this paper focuses on the Chinese Concessive Conjunction “Jishi/Napa/Jiushi A ye B ”.By using the method of Description,Explanation and Comparative analysis and taking Mr.Xing "small Triangle " theory for the research perspective,we mainly studies the similarities and subtle differences of “Jishi/Napa/Jiushi A ye B”.The First Chapter is the introduction part that mainly introduced the research purpose and scope of this article, summarized previous research results, and made clear the theoretical basis, methods and the sources of materials. The Second Chapter studies and compares the three sentence patterns from the surface form of the language. In the subsequent elements, the location behind of“Jishi " can’t be the substantive component, while the location behind of “Napa/Jiushi" can be the substantive component;the location behind of “Jishi/Napa”can be the phrase that includes “shi”,while the location behind of “Jiushi” can’t be the phrase that includes “shi”.In the special grammatical function,"Napa" has a special usage of "V napa A ye B".In Third Chapter,we study and compare the three sentence patterns form the content meaning. We think the relationships between A and B of the three sentence patterns can be divided into three types: Consequent constraint,Non restriction and Reverse restriction. When A and B is the Reverse restriction,we can divide into four types: A is the direct cause, semantic progressive, special cases and extreme values.“Napa A ye B" tends to mean that in some extreme cases the results remain unchanged; When A and B is f the Consequent constraints,"Jishi/ Jiushi A ye B" only expresses the meaning of purpose,"Napa A ye B" can represent the meaning of purpose,condition-result,suggestion-result,assumption-result and causation; When the relationship between A and B is the Non restriction,it includes two types:preference relation and parallel relation. The three sentence patterns show subtle differences in subject, expression form and other aspects. The Fourth Chapter,in the use value of the language, the three sentence patterns shows the similarities and differences. In the aspect of discourse semantics, the relationships between "Napa A and B" and the former term P can’t be these three types: repetition and anaphora, opposite and complement, semantic climax.Except these three semantic types, the relationships between "Jishi/Jiushi A ye B" can beassumption and inference, condition and result, degree and complement, statement and declaration. From the focuses and stresses, the focus of these three sentence patterns is the “Contrast Focus”.A and B is the Reverse restriction: when A is a direct reason / semantic progressive,B is the focus and stress;when A is a special case /extreme value,A is the focus and stress.A and B is the Consequent constraint: the focus and stress of "Jishi/Jiushi A ye B" is B,the focus and stress of “Napa A ye B” is A.A and B is non-restriction: the focus of "Jishi / Jiushi A ye B" is B,"Napa A ye B" AB express the preference relation,B is the focus and stress;AB is parallel relation,A is the focus and stress. The Fifth Chapter summarizes the contents of this paper, and points out the innovation and shortcomings of this paper. |
