Study On The Interrogative Sentence Of Zuo Zhuan

Master Zuo’s Spring and Autumn Annals(ChunQiuZuoZhuan/Zuo Zhuan/Zuo’s Commentary)as our Chinese first narrative with the chronicle books and Confucian historical biography and classic,is an important document for the study of history of Spring and Autumn Period of Pre Qin Period,it represents the highest achievement of Pre Qin history.It not only has a rich history,literature research value,but also has high language research value.With Zuo Zhuan recording the history of the Spring and Autumn Period in detail,but it is not limited to this period of history,but also involves all aspects of the history of from ancient legends to Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasty actually.It complements and enriches the content of the Spring and Autumn,It replaces the method of history recording of day-to-day account in Chun Qiu by a systematic and organized compilation of historical recording,which greatly enhances the historical value of Zuo Zhuan that becomes an important historical data for the study of ancient Chinese grammar.Trying to combine the Markedness Theory and Three Plane Grammatical Theory,using the combined research method of quantitative and qualitative analysis,synchronic and diachronic analysis,this article investigated and analyzed the interrogative sentence of Zuo Zhuan systematicly,so as to have some humble opinions on the development application and evolution law of interrogative sentence in the spring and Autumn Period,to explore its status in the history of Chinese grammar,to fill the gap in research on interrogative sentence of Zuo Zhuan,to provide some reference for further research of ancient history of Chinese grammar ultimately.The thesis was divided into six parts.The first chapter was introduction,which introduced Zuo Zhuan itself and the author,sum up the research status of interrogative sentence in Zuo Zhuan,and set forth the research methods and research significance.From chapter two to chapter four,combined with the traditional Markedness Theory,this article respectively classified,studied and analyzed the inquiry sentence,rhetorical sentence,measure sentence of Zuo Zhuan.In the classification of interrogative sentence,firstly,according to the classification method of Mr.Lv Shuxiang inhis book Chinese Grammar Outline(divide according to the degree of doubt of questions),interrogative sentence of Zuo Zhuan was classified into three categories:inquiry sentence,rhetorical sentence and measure sentence.Then according to the syntactic and rhetorical structure of questions,inquiry sentence and rhetorical sentence was made lower classification:according to the classification method of Mr.Huang Borong in his book Declarative sentence,Interrogative sentence,Imperative sentence,Exclamatory sentence,inquiry sentence was classified into four categories,including specific interrogation,yes-no interrogation,alternative interrogation,positive and negative alternative interrogation,rhetorical sentence was divided into two categories of definite rhetorical interrogation and yes-no rhetorical interrogation;At last,according to the Markedness Theory on questions,much lower level classification was carried out.Chapter five is conclusion,which summarized and sum up the full text based on the analysis of overall appearance of interrogative sentence of Zuo Zhuan and on the analysis of comparative analysis with Historical Records.
