Thought The Research Of Wei Jue

Buddhism is one of the three major religions in the world and has a history of more than two thousand years.The Chung Tai Temple founded by Wei Jue Master is one of the "Four Temples of Taiwan ".Wei Jue Master founded monsterises and carried forward Buddha dharma widely in Taiwan.He adopted varied ways to enlighten the believers according to their different levels in Buddhism.He also carried forward Buddha dharma overseas for many times.When there was a tension between the Taiwan and Mainland,Wei Jue Master put forward the slogan: Religion is the first link between the two sides,Buddhism is the key to religion,and the communication between the two sides is the preconditon of Buddhism.Meanwhile,he presided over the establishment of World Fellowship of Religions to promote the communication between Taiwan and Mainland.This paper mainly talks about Wei Jue Master 's thoghts of Buddhism including Five Transformations of Buddhist Movements(the transformation in academy,education,arts,science and life),the meaning and effects of China Taiwan Four Lines(Be respectful to the senior,loving to the junior,friendly to people and earnest to things.),the enlightment to believers,the main methods of teaching Buddhist monks,the society and schools,and his contributions to the relations between Taiwan and Mainland.Therefore,we can inherite,spread and learn from Wei Jue Master's thoughts of Buddhism by the research on him.
