An Interpreting Report On The Truth Of Emperor Gaozong's Early Years And Battles Of Uncle And Nephew Of "The CCTV Lecture Room"

The interpretation report is based on the following two episodes of the famous scientific and educational program,the CCTV Lecture Room,The Truth of Emperor Gaozong's Early Years and Battles of Uncle and Nephew.The task is aimed at some international students.In order to help them to study the history of Tang Dynasty,Emperor Gao Zong of Tang Dynasty who was quite controversial was chosen as the subject to explore historical truth.This chance of learning also provides them a new approach to learning the historical culture.The interpretation report includes four parts: the author introduced the background of the interpretation task,the source and the request of the interpretation in the first part;the second part includes the preparation before interpretation,interpretation process and the evaluation after interpretation,of which the key points are translation theory,listening and note-taking skills;the third part is case analysis,the most important part including a lot of typical cases in which;the author analyzed the key points and difficulties in the interpretation process;in the last part,the author made a conclusion about self-evaluation,psychological quality evaluation and the translation strategies from the whole interpretation process.It is hoped that the gains and strategies in this interpreting report can offer guidance to future interpreting tasks.In order to express the basic content and have a good communication with international students,the author adopted literal translation,free translation and other translation strategies to split and combine the original text with the guidance of skopos theory during the whole interpretation process.
