In the 1960s,India suffered a severe food crisis,finding a way to quickly increase food production is imminent.At this time,the international community on wheat,rice and other major varieties of food genetically modified and its high yield of key inputs has made a major breakthrough.Mexico and some Southeast Asian countries took the lead in this study to practice and significantly increase food production.The international community called this "Green Revolution." In 1966,the Government of Indira Gandhi,India,considered the final decision on the adoption of this new strategy for agricultural development and the selection of prominent areas such as Punjab.Punjab continues to build a sound agricultural input system on the basis of solid agriculture,using high-yielding varieties to create a "miracle" for food growth and agricultural development,and Punjab becomes an example of other states.At the same time,Punjab "Green revolution" on the local economic,social,ecological and other fields has had a profound impact.This paper focuses on the most successful areas of India's "Green revolution"-Punjab,expounds its process,achievements and influence,analyzes the experience,and ultimately for other countries and regions to provide reference for agricultural development.The full text consists of three parts:the preface,the text and the conclusion.The text part is divided into four parts.The preface includes the cause and significance of the topic,the review of the academic history,the definition of the concept and the time,the theoretical basis and the method,research ideas,the innovation and the shortcomings of the paper.The first part reviews the international,domestic background and agricultural conditions of Punjab "Green Revolution".This section examines the origin of the"Green revolution" and why the Indian government has adopted this new strategy for agriculture and elaborated on the main reasons why Punjab was chosen as the implementation area.The second part focuses on the performance,stage and characteristics of Punjab"Green Revolution".On this basis,analysis of Punjab "green revolution" in the development of favorable factors,revealing the reasons for its success.The third part mainly analyzes the far-reaching impact of Punjab "Green Revolution" on areas other than agriculture,including positive and negative effects.At the same time,the Punjab "Green Revolution" to determine whether the success.Finally,it presents a reasonable prospect for the current situation of agricultural development in Punjab.The fourth part of the Punjab "Green revolution" based on the achievements and problems of refining lessons learned for the rest of the world and regions,especially in developing countries to provide a mirror.On the basis of summing up the whole text,the conclusion is that the Punjab"Green revolution" and the second "green revolution" are docked,pointing out that Punjab "Green Revolution" still has great practical significance.
