There are 24 Chinese interjections in Yuan poetic drama.The interjections are mainly monosyllable,partially two syllables and multisyllable accounts for the least number.The Chinese interjections in Yuan poetic drama are divided into three types.They are interjections that indicate different facial expressions,interjections that indicate different attitudes and interjections that indicate different meanings.To be specifically,interjections that indicate different facial expressions include,surprise,anger,sober,pain,relief,supplication,complaint,regret and so on.Interjections that indicate different attitudes include appreciation,doubt,amazement,realization,blame,satirization and the like.Interjections that indicate different meanings include plaint,response,instructions and so on.Chinese interjections in Yuan poetic drama can be divided into two types according to the grammatical function.One is used as a sentence alone but the other is used as an independent component in a sentence,which mainly appears at the beginning of the sentence,sometimes at the middle of the sentence while it can not appear at the end of the sentence.The relation of form and spence of interjections is not corresponding from the angle of semantic analysis because an interjection can express several meaning.That is to say,if we want to master the semanteme of an interjection correctly,we need to connect it with its specific context.Interjections have four functions in pragmatics.The first one is that they can express different kinds of emotion.Secondly,they can make the character of figure clear.Thirdly,they can push the development of the story.The last one is that they can connect appropriate conversations. |
