C-E Interpretation Report Of China's Lounge Bridge

This interpretation report analyses subtitle interpretation of China's Lounge Bridge,which is from Netease Open Course.China's Lounge Bridge is one of lessons in Culture Presentation under the Special Photography of Chen Shoucan,who is professor of Zhejiang Gongshang University.Culture Presentation under the Special Photography contains five lessons,and China's Lounge Bridge is fifth.The lesson is about 50 minutes.Professor Chen introduces China's lounge bridge through history,background,culture and current situation in detail.The author adopts sight interpretation to finish interpretation practice of China's Lounge Bridge.Then the author transcribes the translation to typeset subtitle.During the process of interpretation,the author will meet lots of difficulties.Therefore,the author needs to use appropriate theory to guide interpretation process.Under the guidance of Nord's Function plus Loyalty Theory,the author adopts six strategies to finish subtitle interpretation.These strategies include syntactic linearity,consolidation and disconnection,free translation,adjustment,addition and deletion.Through using these strategies,the author can smoothly solve the difficulties during the process of interpretation.Under the guidance of Nord's Function plus Loyalty Theory,through analyzing subtitle interpretation,the author knows more about linguistic feature of subtitle,which benefits for promoting the quality of translation.At the same time,China's lounge bridge is important part of Chinese culture.The author expects subtitle interpretation can attract more foreign listeners to focus on China's lounge bridge,so it can further popularize Chinese culture.
