English-Chinese Translation Practice Report Guided By Communicative Translation Theroy

In 21st century, we have entered the age of Internet. Since "Internet+"program implemented by Chinese government, Internet have become an indispensable booster for the reform, innovation, development of the modern society. To follow this trend and meet this demand, I carried out a translation project in this filed, and this is a translation project report on internet science and technology. It selects the latest articles on internet technology as translation materials, introducing recent advancements in the field of internet, such as VR technology and Lifi technology. Since internet English is much of professionalism, this paper, guided by Newmark's communicative translation theory, discusses the translation methods suitable for English text on internet technology. This translation practice report comprises four parts. The first section is discription about the translation task that I will give a brief introduction and analysis of the translation texts. The second section is translation process, including translation preparation, translation process and translation review. The third section, which is the principal part of this report, explores translation skills and strategies of proper nouns, passive sentences, long and complicated sentences by using Newmark's communicative translation theory. The last section draws a conclusion about the experience and inspiration during this translation project.
