Deng Fulun is an famous Hunan poet in later Qing dynasty.As one of master of Hu-xiang school,Deng is an important member of this genre ranking only second to Wang Kaiyun.His poetry not only has obvious poetic style as Hu-xiang poetry faction,but also has unique "sinks sadly and sentimental" style.This paper is divided into three chapters.It explores his sinks sadly and entimental style feature mainy by the content of the Deng's poetry and art technique two dimensions.The first chapter mainly analysis that present its unique style of poetry theme and content,which can be concluded to four aspects:The death and farewell of grief,elegy about people's hard life from the bottom of heart,sadness and sorrow concerning rough career and distress life,grief about the end of the late qing dynasty.The second chapter focus on the artistic expression of poetry.Deng Funlun is good at constructing lonely images and gloomy artistic conception,he always establish arrogant and frustrated noble in his poetry.Then,he spitted out his sad emotions with directly way.what's more,Deng Funlun's poetry has its own specialty—sentimental words.The third chapter dissects the causes of Deng Funlun's style,and believed that thesocial crisis in later Qing dynasty,rocky life path,sad thought cultural tradition from the people of chu and sentimental tradition in ancient literature formed Deng Funlun's style.
