A Report On The Translation Of Dialogue With Yinchuan:China-America International Printmaking Exhibition 2016

This report is a case study of the C-E translation of the album Dialogue with Yinchuan:China-America International Printmaking Exhibition 2016.It aims to give an introduction to the translation task and an analysis of the difficulties encountered in translating the album.The whole report consists of five main parts—description of the translation task,description of the translation process,studies on artistic text translation,case analysis and conclusion.At first,the author describes the translation task as well as the significance of the task.In Chapter two,the author introduces her preparations and the translation process.The most important part of the report is the case analysis.In this part,the author describes some difficulties in managing terminology,translating the names of paintings and dealing with long sentences and summarizes some translation methods and techniques.The last part is the conclusion,in which the author hopes to throw some light on the translation of artistic works.
