The Saying Of Needles

Fiber art is young and ancient,and “the saying of needles”is the unique linguistic form of fiber art.The words contained in the thread and needle stab to the bodies and the soul of human beings through the needle tip.It makes people think deeply what is the meaning of the life.Combine with the tradition,“the saying of needles” have different state,contemporary fiber art is more varirty,it is connected with identity,space,memory,production,society and so on.Fiber art closely related to people,and all of us are familiar with“the saying of needles”.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly summarizes the relationship between fiber art and “the saying of needles”,and states what is “the saying of needles”in several parts.The second chapter,take the embroidery as an example to analyzes the traditional form of “the saying of needles”.The third chapter analyzes the art works of five contemporary artists,and analyzes the new forms of “the saying of needles”in the contemporary art.This paper want to discuss the uniqueness and the importance of the “saying of needles”from multiaspect.
