Desire Writing In Amy Tan's Novels

Amy Tan is a Chinese-American writer.Her novels are good at describing the changes and differences of the generation of mothers who grew up in the American culture and the mother's desire to live in Chinese culture which to reveal the influence of the cultural environment on the individual's desire.Her novels coincides with Lacan's theory of desire.This paper uses Lacan's theory of desires to study Amy Tan's novels and get the following points: Amy Tan's novels describe the desire to live,Possessive,vanity.In order to express the desire effectively,Amy Tan's novels use the literary image of "the kitchen of men and women","the dream of the old China","the deeds of the mind and words and deeds",Amy Tan used desire field(narrative space),the desire of the cultural context(the narrative time),the desire of the cultural context(the narrative time)And other narrative strategies.The theme of desire has been in a vague way,in the text of the expression of the mother's self-pursuit of the survival of the mother and daughter between the vanity caused by contradictions and conflicts,especially through Amy Tan's novels between the sexes possessive.In the interpretation of the theme,the desire to become a symbol of the role of the characters,so that people are full of human nature and spirituality.The author thinks that studying the desire writing in his novel is to apply the new literary theory to the study of Amy Tan's literature,which is a new understanding and exploration of Amy Tan's novels.The significance of the literary world is very important.
