Study On The Thought Of Jiang Kuishu

Jiang Kui(1155-1221),a poet and musician of Mid-Southern Song dynasty,and expecially has quite extraordinary accomplishments in the calligraphy area.His monumental theory of calligraphy "Xu Shupu",books like "Jiang TiePing",and so on are all revealing his orginal insights on calligraphy.Jiang Kui's books' thoughts plays an significant role in Southern Song dynasty even the whole history of calligraphy and affected that period deeply.Jiang Kui calligraphy thought to a unique cultural way,the construction of humanities,to accept the vivid effect of aesthetic practice,thus becoming an important part of the Southern Song Dynasty humanistic meteorology.About the study on Jiang Kui's books' thoughts,this thesis makes a comprehensive investigation basing on his previous books' thoughts through these cases of ontology of calligraphy art?artistic aesthetics?art comment and books' thoery?the intergration between poem,writing,rhythm and articles,etc.And draws more detailed and deeper conclusions according to Jiang Kui's books' thoughts,hand writing,social activity and society background etc.This thesis has six chapters,the first chapter starts from Jiang Kui's normal life,describes his hard experience of reliefing his nation and seeking for art under the plural big social environment of Song dynasty which is domestic gentle and foreign invasion.The second chapter just goes to the noumenon of calligrapgy art directly,advocates old rules,confirms and make clear about the start.However,instead of following the "advocate meaning" writing style of that time,jiangkui established the books' thoughts of "follow meaning to advocate verve".The third chapter extends from the view of aesthetics of calligraphy,analyses the interested place of Jiang Kui's calligraphy,shows the natural and unrestrained style of his writing thoroughly.The forth chapter is from the point view of Jiang Kui's books' opinion,re-survey the relationship between personal character and books' character,provides an objective assessment and not equivocal;The fifth chaptermainly records the art progress of Jiang Kui,and mentions his outstanding achievements in the three areas of poetry,music and calligraphy.And these three aspects of thoughts are mutual and corresponding on it's art practice;Although Jiang Kui curtained about personal character and has discussed it should be on the first place in the Feng Shen section of his book “Xu Shupu”,but it's only one of aspects,the followed comprehension of seven subjective or objective issues like Learning from previous is more important.As the end,the sixth chapter mainly describes the impaction and enlightenment of Jiang Kui's books' thoughts,it's not only mentioned the succession and improvement of pioneers,but also expand and developed the books' thought of Yuan & Ming dynasty.It extended the calligraphy trend of thought of the time from Jiang Kui's thoughts.By this study,I think Jiang Kui's books' thought is great worthy and meaningful,it's worthy for us to learn from his rigorous study thoughts,and it enlightens thoughts,skills and creation of writing,pursuit and comment on taste of the time.
