With the development of the society,and the improvement of the science and technology,network brings convenience to people.But it also causes a series of problems.Many people make mistakes of using the Internet,such as spending too much time in the game and chatting,leading to problematic internet use and affecting their daily life.Junior middle school is an important period for the development of a person’s life,and an important stage of transition from childhood to adolescence.In this period,students’ physical and psychological change sharply.Students are easily affected by various complex environments,and easily into problematic internet use.Previous studies found that inter-parental conflict is one of the important factors for problematic internet use,but prediction between them has not been a consistent conclusion.The influence mechanism of inter-parental conflict on problematic internet use is worthy of further verification.Social anxiety which is significantly positive related to inter-parental conflict can be used as a mediating variable to influence problematic internet use in the previous studies.Inter-parental conflict can directly affect social anxiety.So junior middle school students are selected as research subjects in this study to investigate the relationship between inter-parental conflict,Social anxiety and problematic internet use.Based on the above analysis,this study suggests that social anxiety may play an intermediary role between parental conflict and problematic internet use.Studies have shown that the inter-parental conflict and problematic internet use have significant gender differences,and the influence of the same variables on problematic internet use has significant gender differences.So the gender may play a regulatory role on inter-parental conflict and problematic internet use.Based on the previous literature,this study sues the convenient sampling method to choose 728 students in Grade One,Grade Two and Three from two juniormiddle school and selects the Children’s Perception of Inter-parental Conflict Scale,the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale and the Adolescents pathological Internet Use Scale.The results show that:1.Junior middle school students’ Internet suing is in a normal level,and there are only a very small number of students problematic internet use.The detection rate was 9.9 percent.2.In gender,Perceptions of inter--parental conflict and problematic internet use of boys are significantly higher than those of girls;In perceptions of inter--parental conflict,the third grade students score significantly higher than grade two.Grade one students’ social anxiety level is significantly higher than that of grade two.The score of problematic internet use in grade three is significantly higher than grade two,and the score of grade two is much higher than grade one;3.Perceptions of inter--parental conflict is significantly positively related to social anxiety and problematic internet use,and social anxiety is significantly positively related to problematic internet use.Perceptions of inter--parental conflict can positively predict problematic internet use.Social anxiety plays an partly mediating role between Perceptions of inter--parental conflict and problematic internet use.The mediating effect of social anxiety is moderated by gender.Compared with girls,boys’ social anxiety has a greater impact on their problematic internet use.
